/ MY STORY

Hi I’m Liz, also known as Diz! When people ask me how I got into baking, well, I have family to thank for that. I grew up in a home where my mum, grandma, nan and oma (blessed with three sets of grandparents) would have freshly baked treats waiting for my brothers and I; treats that filled the house will smells and sensations to make you salivate. It is not only the women in my family I have to be thankful for my passions, it is also the men in my life. The first ever dessert I made was with my dad; a French puff pastry filled with fresh cream and strawberries from memory, he continues to play a huge role in my business (mostly as a taste tester and an icing bowl thief whenever I turn around).

So I guess, baking is home for me. It brings me fond memories and is a place I can relax and do my thing! My first role in a kitchen was one I stumbled into, by chance I found myself in a position where I took a job as a cook with no experience or knowledge just a passion for making food and eager to learn more. Quickly realising baking was my passion, I no longer could follow someone else’s menu and decided it was time I push myself and create my own way.


Dizlicious has become my baby, my pride and joy. Bringing people happiness in cakes and dessert has never made more content and proud of my childhood and life.
